Annabel’s expressive painting style is a celebration of colour, mark-making, rhythmic movement and the natural world around us.

Working primarily in oils, Annabel embraces the medium’s richness and versatility, allowing each piece to evolve intuitively. The handling of paint is dynamic and expressive, conveying the immediacy and joy of a playful, instinctive sketch. Balancing the figurative and the abstract, Annabel’s gestural, painterly style suggests rather than defines, evoking fleeting memories — the heat of summer and the shifting light along the north and south coasts of Cornwall.

More recently, Annabel has been developing a series of vibrant, semi-abstract floral paintings, continuing her exploration of colour, movement, and atmosphere.
